LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A person who was trying to dump illegally in one Louisville neighborhood was caught in the act.
It was all thanks to surveillance cameras put in place by a fed up neighbor.
That neighbor at South Floyd and Ormsby called police when he saw what was going on.
Solid Waste Management officials got there while the person was still in this red truck trying to dump a second load of items illegally.
If you are caught dumping illegally - the city can hold your vehicle for up to 12 months until all fines are paid.
This area is known for illegal dumping and residents have armed themselves with cameras catching people in the middle of the crime.
