LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Patrick Henry Hughes was born into the world without vision but managed to create a vision of triumph one would envy.

Hughes never allowed his physical handicaps stop him from achieving greatness leading him to become an accomplished musician.

His list of accomplishments continues to grow including his 2008 book, “I Am Potential.”

Hughes wrote the book as an extension to inspire individuals to reach their potential.

Hughes life and book captured the attention of producers of the American Family Studios where they are turning the magic of his inspiration into a movie.

He’s reaching out to the Louisville community looking for extras to take part in the final shooting at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

The scene will be from the first time Patrick took to the field with the Louisville Marching Band.

Hughes says he remembers the nerves both he and his father had at the Louisville and Kentucky game in 2006.

“Overall after it was all said and done, it was lots of fun. Being out there with the 50,000 screaming fans, all having a good time, knowing that if we won or lost it was going to be a great game.”

Louisville went on to win that game 59 – 28 and Hughes continued to make strides forward inspiring others to reach their own potential.

“I Am Potential” will be released in 2014.
