Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11)- Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer announced a new event to help the hungry.
It is called the Paddle for Hunger. Canoers and kayakers will be navigating a three mile course on the river, from Towland Island, downriver to the 2nd Street Bridge.
The event will begin at Waterfront Park near the Tumbleweed Restaurant, during the Forecastle Music Festival.
The Paddle for Hunger is free for spectators.
