LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police say a day care operator whose business was shut down after a child in her care died was also bilking the state.
Katrina Clyburn is accused of receiving more than $112,000 in food stamps, Medicaid and child care assistance.
She did not disclose her income from Trina's Treehouse to state officials. She's charged with making false statements and misrepresentation to receive benefits. She has pleaded not guilty.
Back in 2011 2-year-old Ja'Corey Davis died after swallowing a push pin at Trina's Treehouse day care.
