(WHAS 11)--Members of the Louisville Metro Council will hear from the Paducah and Louisville Railway about recent train derailments.
In October neighborhoods had to be evacuated for days after several rail cars that contained hazardous chemicals derailed.
It happened off Dixie highway.
Then just last month 15 cars loaded with coal derailed in Vine Grove.
In that case there was no threat to the public.
P and L Railroad is expected to discuss what they've done to prevent future incidents.
