Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The owner of a Saint Matthews restaurant that was set on fire believes he's the victim of a hate crime.
The Dejlah Bistro on Oechsli Avenue near Trinity High School burned down the day before Thanksgiving and investigators ruled it arson.
It's owned by Hazim Sadkhan, an Iraqi native who has lived in Louisville for 8 years.
He says someone spray painted "Get out of our country” on a door in the restaurant just before the fire was set.
"I can’t imagine why this happened, why they did this to me if they hate me? I don’t know," said Sadkhan.
Investigators are only saying the fire was arson, they aren't releasing any other details.
