LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS 11) -- One woman was killed and two others injured after a shooting in Louisville’s West End early Tuesday morning.

Police said they were called to the 100 block of N. 36th Street around 1:30 a.m. to investigate a homicide. When officers arrived at the scene they said they found one woman.

According to the arrest report, 55-year-old Fred Leach lived at the home and turned himself in a few hours after the shootings.

The report states Leach shot the first woman in the chest, a second woman in the abdomen and a third in the foot.  The first victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to University Hospital and is reported to be in stable but serious condition.

The woman that died is Leach's stepdaughter, police said, and the other two women are her twin cousins.

Police said they believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute between Leach and the women.

"This was an ongoing domestic argument over living arrangements. The suspect and his wife, the wife passes away about a year and a half ago, and the victim is the daughter of the deceased wife. So, they had an ongoing argument over who was able to live in the house and it all came to a head last night," Lt. Todd Kessinger, LMPD, said.

Police have yet to locate the weapon used in the shootings, nor have they released the identities of any of the victims.

Leach is charged with murder, attempted murder, assault and tampering with physical evidence.
