LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Metro Police have identified a man who was thrown from a car when it rolled over on I-64 on Saturday afternoon.
According to police, Shane Ragland was driving a Dodge Durango on the ramp from northbound I-265 to eastbound I-64 when he hit a guardrail and flipped his car on Saturday.
He was thrown from the vehicle and taken to UofL Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police said Ragland's car was the only one involved.
Witnesses told police he was driving too fast for the road conditions.
No drug or alcohol use is suspected.
This is the same Shane Ragland that pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges in 2007 for the shooting death of UK football player Trent Digiuro in 1994.
