BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- An Ohio teen who went missing in his hometown was found safe Wednesday in Bullitt County, Ky.

Police said William Scheetz, 17, was reported missing by his mother Monday morning.  Police said he has a history of depression and could be a danger to himself.  He also was in need of medication.

Scheetz was reportedly spotted in a Mount Washington Burger King asking for water. A patron recognized him and called his name.

Scheetz ran out of the restaurant and hid until Mount Washington Police spotted him and took him into custody.

He was interviewed by Ohio Police at the Bullitt County Sheriffs Office.

His car was discovered in Mount Washington on Monday. It was found off Bardstown Road by a hunter.
