A Metro Police Canine Unit collided with a car late Monday evening shutting down Barret Avenue.

Witnesses say the officer was turning left off Rufer Avenue onto Barret when he hit a Honda Civic.

Paramedics treated a man and two boys inside the car for minor injuries. The officer and his canine were unhurt.

Traffic investigators are still investigating the cause of the crash.
