LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Norton Hospital’s St. Matthews Pediatric Surgery Center at Suburban, which held its ribbon cutting last week, will welcome their first patient Monday morning.
Toddler Evelyn Bishop will be the first outpatient to undergo surgery in the new facility. Bishop will have tubes placed in her ears by Doctor Mike Brown.
The Pediatric Surgery Center has four operating rooms and 19 beds for pre and post-operative care.
The center will be able to accommodate various surgical procedures including ear, nose, and throat, orthopedics, urology, and general surgery.
