LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- It was a big game tonight for UofL's football team.
Players were back on national TV and it was homecoming night for UofL. It all added up to big traffic troubles.
Officials put a new traffic plan in place for the flood of fans headed to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
It was put to the test Friday night, Oct. 18, as 55,000 people attended the game at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium where UCF and UofL faced off.
Traffic was slow going and some officials directing traffic said the big problem was people did not have the right passes to get in the right lots. One official directing traffic told WHAS11’s Alex Schuman this traffic was the worst he had ever seen.
