LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – There’s a debate underway in Frankfort debate on a new city fairness ordinance.

The proposed ordinance would prohibit discrimination based on a person's sexual identity or sexual preference when it comes to matters such as employment and housing.

If the ordinance passes, Frankfort would be the fifth city in Kentucky to have one.

Right now there are similar ordinances in Louisville, Shelbyville, Lexington and Vicco--a small town in eastern Kentucky.
