LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville Metro EMS is getting new ambulances with state of the art electronic systems. On Friday, Mayor Greg Fischer (D) checked out one of the four new ambulances that are being added to the fleet.
"It gives us the latest in medical technology, which is what somebody wants when an ambulance shows up at their place, along with our great EMS team," said Fischer.
Each ambulance will have an on-board GPS system and more room for patient care. The four F-450's will be made here in Louisville and they will replace older, high-mileage vehicles.
