LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – While most people chose to bring in their New Year’s morning by sleeping in, some dedicated runners were up bright and early to tackle the Hangover Classic 10 mile run.

The fast and flat course weaves through Butchertown and down River Road.

For some, this is a great way to start off the year right and get a jump start on their New Year’s resolutions while others look at the race as a tradition they’ve been keeping up with for decades.

Trophies are give to the fastest three men and women who cross the finish line.
