It won't be until Tuesday but a New Albany woman could get her dogs back.

Katherine Fraze's dogs were seized from her sanctuary after the Floyd County Health Department ruled her property uninhabitable due to a septic tank issue.

Fraze was forced to come up with more than $3300 dollars for impound fees for her 39 dogs.

Friday, she had the money but still needed to find foster homes for all of the dogs and herself.

“I am essentially homeless and i guess for a lack of a better word, my dogs are not.  They are in a safe place,” said Fraze.

Fraze has until Wednesday to meet the property code to do that she must install a septic system or she could be evicted.

The Animal Control Board agreed to give Fraze until Tuesday to find homes for the dogs.

I may have missed it, but contact info for those who are interested in fostering was not metioned in the story. If you would like to help Katherine call 812-945-0000 or email savethatdog@yahoo.com.

I know this may sound bad on my part but here we are again, sending money and people to help in HAITI and we cant even stay here and help out one of our own!! We send millions over there and we have someone who might lose her home because of a septic tank ! But its ok to put her on the streets. What are we thinking!! But it makes news to show we help out over there But NOT HERE!!!! The next time you see someone one the side of the road asking for help just say sorry your from around here so i cant help you!!!!!!!!This makes me sick!!
