LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Anthony Davis will all be at the KFC Yum! Center for an exhibition game this fall.
The Miami Heat will take on the New Orleans Pelicans.
It’s the first time an NBA team will play at the Yum! Center but will it be the last?
It's your chance to see national champ and NBA superstar LeBron James play in Louisville.
And tickets start at $18.
“We feel like we have the best arena in the world and we want to bring the best into the KFC Yum! Center. We are the best, we want the best,” Robbie Valentine, AEG director, said.
For Cats fans that haven't seen Anthony Davis play since his UK days this is your chance. The Miami Heat will take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Oct. 4 in an exhibition game.
“Anytime you get the likes of LeBron and Anthony Davis coming to the Yum! Center the game will be sold out I think that’s a good look," Darrell Griffith, a former NBA player, said.
Former NBA greats like Griffith and Derek Anderson both think the preseason game is the perfect fit for the Yum! Center.
“I think it’s great for the city,” Anderson said.
But is the city basketball driven enough to have an NBA team?
“The city of Louisville is more of a college town. I wish we could have an NBA team but I think people won't support it because they have so much passion for the University of Louisville and University of Kentucky,” Anderson said.
Tickets go on sale through the box office or through Ticketmaster on April 19 at 10 a.m.
Those from the Yum! Center tell us that UofL adjusted their schedule to accommodate the NBA game.
