LOUISIVLLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Aaron Russel Wilkinson of Louisville pleaded not guilty to four charges on Tuesday, May 14, including conspiracy to commit murder, in federal court in Charleston, S.C.
Wilkinson is accused of plotting to kill Nancy Latham, treasurer of the South Carolina Lottery Commission, along with three others.
Wendy Moore is one of the accused and was allegedly having an affair with Latham’s husband, whom she is currently divorcing.
“The criminal charges continue to accumulate and there continues to be an unresolved question of to what degree if any was her husband involved in this process,” Tim Madden, Latham’s attorney, said.
Chris Latham has not been criminally charged.
