LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The mother of a suspect who was allegedly slapped by a Louisville Metro Police Officer while in handcuffs says she wants the officer to be held accountable.
“I think some justice needs to be served for the simple fact my son was handcuffed,” TaWayna Felton, John Sanders’ mom, said. “The way this man, who calls himself a police officer to protect and serve; he didn't do that. He didn't do that.
Officer David Graham's case was back in court Wednesday afternoon. He's been on paid leave since the alleged incident in March.
Police say graham slapped robbery suspect John Sanders while he was in handcuffs and also poked him in the throat several times.
Graham faces criminal charges of harassment and official misconduct.
