CARROLLTON, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Family members of the Carrollton man killed while crossing the street say he was known for his kindness.
Michael Beach, 27, was hit and killed on Tuesday night, Oct. 8, in Carroll County while walking to work at Kroger.
James Wilhoite, 24, who has multiple DUI's on his record, is charged with manslaughter and DUI after police say he hit and killed Beach.
Beach's mother says he always walked everywhere around town.
"There isn't a place in this town he hasn't walked to because he walks all the time. Everybody in this town knows he walks," Rena Poland, Beach’s mother, said.
A memorial is now set up for Beach at the scene of the accident.
