Injury reported in officer-involved accident at 34th and Greenwood

(WHAS11)-- MetroSafe has confirmed that there is an officer-involved accident at 34th and Greenwood, one person is injured.

The officer was responding at the time to assist another office who had pulled a vehicle over at 34th and Broadway. Four individuals exited the stolen vehicle and ran off.

Two juveniles were caught, while two other suspects are still wanted.

Police said the suspects allegedly robbed a person at S 43rd and Market and then stole the vehicle,

The traffic unit is investigating the officer involved crash. An eyewitness said the officer didn't stop or pause at the intersection before colliding with the Jeep. 

A man and woman in the Jeep were transported to UofL with non-life threatening injuries. The officer was not transported and was not hurt.
