LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Lake Dreamland Fire Department Chief said 15 gallons of butadiene leaked from a source on the Zeon Chemicals property, located in the 4100 block of Bells Lane, in Louisville on Friday morning, March 7.
Officials said cleanup was wrapping up at 12:30 p.m. No one was injured during this leak.
At around 11:30 a.m. WHAS11's Brooke Hasch heard a horn sound multiple times from one of the buildings in the area. Hasch also said the plant suppression system activated near tanks at the Zeon plant.

Emergency crews were on the scene. The crews at the scene included: Lake Dreamland Fire Department, Okalona Fire Department, PRP Fire Department, Camp Taylor Fire Department and Jefferson County Hazardous Material Response Unit.
At about 11:30 a.m. Middletown crews arrived on the scene.
Zeon Chemicals produces synthetic rubber and advanced plastics called ‘elastomers’ which are used in things like automotive engines and oil drills.
