LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- WHAS11 has learned of a school bus accident at Floyd and Hill streets.
Metro Dispatch said they received a report the accident involving a loaded Jefferson County Schools bus around 8:30 Monday morning.
Dwight Mitchell, LMPD public information officer, said eight children were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Forty-three children were aboard bus #0856 headed for Camp Taylor Elementary when is was struck on its side by a shuttle bus. JCPS spokesperson Ben Jackey said there is virtually no damage to the bus, but several children complained of neck pain.
Another JCPS bus was involved in a minor accident on Frel Road around 7 a.m. Monday - this accident was minor and no injuries were reported.
