LOUISVILLE, Ky., (WHAS11)— WHAS11 has learned that the Louisville Metro Council wants to seek an indictment against Jefferson County Constable David Whitlock.
Whitlock is under investigation after shooting a suspected shoplifter in a Walmart parking lot in southwest Louisville in early November.
The council is pursuing a resolution that will seek a grand jury indictment on charges of malfeasance of office and neglect of duty.
The resolution will ask the Commonwealth Attorney's Office to review the case and determine if charges should be filed.
