LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Louisville Metro Council court will meet on Tuesday, July 16, for a pre-hearing to talk about removing Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin from office.

She's accused of violating ethics codes by misusing taxpayer money and improperly hiring her family members.

Then on July 23 the council will meet again to actually begin the process of removing Shanklin from her position.

It’s been announced already that Shanklin won't face criminal charges.
