(WHAS11) -- Kentuckiana got a late taste of winter starting on Tuesday afternoon.
“It's crazy. This is March. We should be having spring weather and we're having snow,” Rebecca Jackson said.
Road crews we’re planning to travel thousands of miles across the region to keep the roads clear. They were not able to pre-treat the roads because of rain earlier in the day.
“Throughout the night we'll continue to salt and plow the roadways and try to keep them as clear as possible,” Greg Prince, INDOT Spokesperson, said.
The Galt House in Louisville was offering rooms at a discounted rate for anyone wanting to avoid a messy morning commute expected on Wednesday.
