(WHAS11) -- Bellewood Home for Children and Brooklawn Child and Family Services are combining their services to help children in Kentuckiana.
The groups announced a merger this morning to create "Uspiritus" a Louisville based agency that will serve children and families across the state.
The merger creates one of Kentucky's largest non-profit agencies with a budget of more than $23 million and more than 300 staff members statewide.
During the merger announcement Thursday kids from both Bellewood and Brooklawn showed off handmade artwork with the Uspiritus logo.
