LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A facility used to host meetings in downtown Louisville was reintroduced to the public Monday.

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer was on hand to show off the renovations of the Old Jail Building auditorium near 6th and Liberty Streets.

According to Fischer, the $185,000 project makes it easier for meetings and improves the look of the space.

The Planning and Design Services as well as Codes and Regulations hold important meetings in the space and had complained about the acoustics inside.

The renovations additions included better lighting and a new projector for presentations.

All of the work was done thanks to a $75,000 contribution from the Louisville-Downtown Partnership.
