LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—The Global Marijuana March took to the streets of Louisville on Saturday.
Supporters joined the march, which started at Mid City Mall on Bardstown Road.
Those who joined the walk, Kentucky Marijuana Party and Diverse Sanctuary, welcomed the march to raise awareness for marijuana, its value to society and the difference between repealing current laws and the legalization of the plant.
The event organizers said the fight comes down to a person’s rights to grow their own medical plants.
The organization has gone to 829 cities worldwide since 1999.
