Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The suspect who admitted he killed the man known as the Sugar Shizz says he had no choice.
In a letter from jail to WHAS11, the suspect, Kenneth Brown, claims he shot Lashawn Talbert in self defense and that Talbert and another man tried to kidnap him and steal drugs from him.
Talbert, known for a dance called the Shizz, was shot and killed in September.
Police say the men had picked a vacant house in Okolona to do the drug deal.
Kenneth brown is also linked to another high-profile case. He was in jail last month when his 2-year-old son was left in a hot car in Lyndon and died.
The child's mother is charged with murder.
Brown's letter did not mention that case.
