LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A man from Louisville is suing Maker's Mark Bourbon House and Lounge and the operators of Fourth Street Live claiming discrimination.

The lawsuit says Andre Mulligan tried to book a party at the lounge but when he told them it was for a majority of African Americans, the bar wouldn't schedule the event.

Mulligan says his party showed up this summer anyway and they were denied service. Maker's Mark distillery does not own or operate the lounge but they say, "Maker's Mark will continue to monitor the situation closely and will take all actions it feels necessary."
