LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A accident has led to arrest of a Louisville man after police said he crashed into several vehicles.
According to a police report, 55-year-old Kenneth R. Ferrell was traveling south on Furman Boulevard at a high rate of speed when he ran a red light and turned in to a parking lot where he struck two vehicles and then a building. After crashing in to the building, police said Ferrell lost control of the car ans his six more vehicles in the parking lot.
Witnesses at the scene said Ferrell "stumbled" out of his car and began yelling for help.
Officers arrived on the scene and said Ferrell told them his brakes gave out. Officers noted he needed assistance to stand and said Ferrell admitted to taking three Lortab pills.
Police said Kenneth Ferrell was so impaired they could not conduct field sobriety tests and after arriving at the emergency room he could not stay awake to answer questions.
Ferrell was arrested and is facing several charges; wanton endangerment, driving under the influence, criminal mischief and no insurance.
