Columbia, Ky. (WHAS) – The man charged in the killing Marion County Deputy Sheriff Anthony Rakes on Nov. 14 was released from University Hospital in Louisville on Monday.
49-year-old Dewayne Shipp was transported to the Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange, Kentucky dye to the infirmary facilities available at the state prison.
Shipp continues to recover from a self-inflicted gunshot wound that required surgery. The case still remains under investigation.
