LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The man accused of murdering a Lexington chef will be brought back to Kentucky.

Robert Taylor waived extradition from Texas Thursday and will be back in Kentucky where he will be charged with murder, kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence.

Police said Taylor and Timothy Ballard killed 32-year-old Alex Johnson.

Johnson's body was found last week in the Kentucky River after he went missing in December 2013.

Police said they believe Taylor and Johnson knew each other.
