Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - A Louisville judge says a man is competent to stand trial for the murders of his children nearly four years ago.
Judge James Shake ruled that Said Biyad can be tried for the October 2006 stabbing deaths of his four children and the rape and attempted murder of his wife.
The judge also ruled that Biyad is eligible for the death penalty.
This is the second time Biyad has been ruled competent to stand trial.
Biyad's trial is set to begin in January.
