(NEWS RELEASE) -- The American Red Cross Louisville Area Chapter in partnership with the Louisville Professional Firefighters Union Local 345 held its 26th Annual Holiday Party for nearly 150 invited families in the Kentuckiana area who lost their belongings to home fires in the past year.

The 26th Annual Holiday Party on December 17th took place at the Louisville Area Chapter at 510 E. Chestnut Street from 6pm to 8pm. Santa arrived courtesy of a fire truck with the Local 345 Union and the party included refreshments, activities and games for children and their families. Special thanks go to Papa John's Pizza for providing food for the evening.

With nearly 25 home fires every month, the Louisville Area Chapter provides fire victims with assistance for food, clothing, prescription medications, temporary shelter and other special needs an affected family might have. These services are made possible by generous donations from people throughout the Kentuckiana area.
