LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Louisville Water Company is showing off the newly restored original pumping station at River Road and Zorn Avenue.
Friday officials celebrated the renovations with a "water" cutting at pumping station #1.
The renovations are the first full-scale redo of the station since the 1970s.
The upgrades include a new waterworks museum near the iconic Louisville water tower. The museum highlights the company's archive of photographs, pieces of water mains and more.
Officials said the project cost about $4.3 million.
