LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Louisville Tea Party leader as announced her support for Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell in next year’s senate election.

18th District Metro Councilwoman Marilyn Parker endorsed McConnell Friday and says she has always supported the senate minority leader and that she made the formal announcement to remove any doubts.

McConnell faces a primary challenge from Louisville businessman Matt Bevin.
