LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville Metro Police are teaming up with local organizations this weekend to help you safely dispose of expired and unused prescription drugs and all for free.

Police say having unused or expired medicine in the home can lead to accidental poisoning or overdose, even prescription drug abuse.

This year's prescription drug drop off is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

There are two locations and they include: Iroquois High School on Taylor Boulevard and
Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
