(WHAS11) -- The Louisville Metro Department of Corrections lockdown has ended. The jail was placed on lockdown Monday night after two Metro Corrections officers were assaulted by 18-year-old inmate Dawaun Jennings.
Jail officials say it happened in the disciplinary housing section of the jail. The corrections officers were taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.
Jennings has been housed in the jail since December 2011. He has been charged with assault, kidnapping and robbery.
