LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A golf charity event held in Louisville on Monday allowed patrons to get things started in a unique way.
The Rock Drop took place at the Wildwood Country Club on Bardstown Road for the St. Mary’s Center’s annual golf outing.
The Rock Drop centered around the 9th hold where WHAS11’s meteorologist Ben Pine dropped golf balls from a helicopter in hopes of getting them into a pre-made hole.
If a ball made it in, the golfer could win $12,000.
St. Mary’s Center provides adult day training and after school care to those intellectually challenged.
