LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- St. Vincent de Paul will be able to feed more hungry people in our community thanks to a massive donation from Kentucky Harvest.
They delivered 6,000 cans of soup to St. Vincent de Paul. Another 4,000 cans will be dropped off later this week.
St. Vincent de Paul says the donation was much needed because the shelves in the food pantry were bare. St. Vincent de Paul is always in need of food donations like canned goods and meat.
Here is a list of the items needed:
- Stuffing mix
- Chicken broth
- Canned corn, green beans
- Cereal
- Cranberry sauce
- Cake mix/frosting
- Instant mashed potatoes
- Dried means
- Macaroni and cheese/pasta
- Spaghetti sauce
- Hamburger/tuna helper
- Tuna
- Sugar
- Flour
- Peanut butter
- Jelly
- Coffee
- Kool-aid
