Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - As soon as Kentucky won, thousands of people took to the streets in Lexington at Limestone and State Streets.

The video above shows the scene from SKY11.

As many as eight thousand fans crowded the streets to celebrate the Cats' victory.

Firefighters and police say they were busy responding to reports of fireworkds, couch fires and disorderly people.

According to the Lexington Herald Leader, Lexington police say that by 3 a.m., they had put out 60 fires and treated 30 patients.

A man was also reportedly shot in the arm during the celebrations. He is expected to make a full recovery.

There is no word yet on how many people were arrested.
