LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – La Grange Police are warning of another scam and this one is called the "Jamaican Phone Scam."

The scam begins when residents receive calls from a Jamaican area code and tells the resident they have won millions of dollars.

The caller is sent a fax with the winnings--usually including a picture of a car they have supposedly won-- and are asked to send hundreds of dollars through Green Dot MoneyPak cards or Western Union.

La Grange Police and the U.S. Postal Inspectors Office are warning the public not to send any money or to give out any personal information if you receive this call.
