LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- LMPD is asking for public assistance to identify a person accused of brandishing a knife and demanding money from employees at Family Dollar on Taylor Blvd.

The employee was unable to open the register and the suspect then fled on foot.

He is described as a white male between the age of 40 and 50-years-old.  His weight is estimated to be near 150 pounds and his height is approximately 5'10''.     

Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact 574-LMPD.
