LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville Metro Police have a new homicide investigation on their hands.

What was a death investigation is now a murder case.

Now police are searching for the person who killed a man in the Camp Taylor neighborhood.

Carey Bush was a Murray State graduate and attended Clemson University in South Carolina.

He lived on Hickman Avenue in the Camp Taylor neighborhood of Louisville.

Neighbors knew something happened at his home but they had no idea it was murder.

“I don't feel comfortable about that at all. It's getting bad everywhere to be honest with you,” Michael Raddish, Camp Taylor neighbor, said.

Michael Raddish is the unofficial block watch captain of Camp Taylor.

He knows what's going on in his community and what he doesn't see he hears from neighbors.

“That is definitely right across the street from Camp Taylor school which was a big concern with us. That’s pretty protected area over there. Most of the neighbors are pretty privy to what's going on,” Raddish said.

Bush was transported from his home on Hickman to Audubon Hospital where he later died.

The cause of death was unclear until now. Authorities say he was strangled.

“I definitely don't feel good about that; especially, with it being that close to me in a neighborhood I've grown up in my whole life, you know? Now a days you don't ever know what is going to happen,” Raddish said.

Raddish says two men were seen running from the home the night of the crime.

No arrests have been made.
