LMPD asks for public’s assistance in finding robbery suspect

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Louisville Metro Police Department is asking for your assistance in finding the suspect in these surveillance pictures, who has been identified as 29-year-old Mark Hambric Jr. Police say Hambrick carried out robberies and “Snatch and Grabs” in LMPD’s 2nd, 5th, and 6th divisions and one in Shively over the past two weeks.

Police said the suspect is responsible for these recent crimes which have occurred at the Family Dollar, Dollar General, Thorntons, BP and Marathon. They say Hambric does not display a weapon but uses physical force against the employees to take the money once the cash drawer opens.

Police say specific stores that have been affected are:
Thornton’s - 4520 Dixie
Marathon - 3320 Frankfort Ave.
BP - 3301 Newburg Rd
Dollar General - 5102 Bardstown Rd
Family Dollar - 3036 Wilson Ave
