LOUISVILLE, Ky. (NEWS RELEASE) -- Louisville Metro Police served warrants and arrested two individuals in connection with an assault that occurred on March 22 at the intersection of First and Jefferson.

Shaquazz E. Allen, 18, and Tyrone D. Booker, 20, are both charged with seven counts of first degree unlawful imprisonment, and one count each of fourth degree assault and third degree criminal mischief.  Both men are facing the charges in relation to an incident in which an adult female was struck in the face rendering her unconscious.  The incident occurred while the woman, her fiancée, and five children were stopped in their vehicle at the First and Jefferson Streets intersection.

Officers arrested Allen at his home around 6:00 p.m. Friday evening, March 28, while officers with the Home Incarceration Program picked up Booker around 6:30 p.m.  Both men were taken to the First Division for questioning, before being booked into Louisville Metro Corrections.

Friday’s arrests follow those of 18-year-old Je’Rece M. Archie and a 17-year-old male juvenile, both of whom were charged with  carrying a concealed deadly weapon, after a witness observed the two pull the weapon out of a trashcan.  Another juvenile was ticketed for menacing when he acted aggressively toward an officer.

The investigation into last Saturday’s assaults is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated.  Until that time, detectives are declining to reveal the tactics or intelligence that led to tonight’s arrests.

Anyone with information on the events occurring during the evening of March 22, 2014 is asked to call the anonymous crime tipline at 502-574-LMPD (5673).
