LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is facing some serious charges after police said he shot a man several times leaving him paralyzed.
According to court documents, 22-year-old Dashawn Wright and another unidentified suspect went to the victim’s apartment, and when the victim answered the door, Wright began shooting.
Police said the other suspect then entered the home with a handgun and robbed another man that was at the home. The two suspects left the scene, taking with them the second victim’s car.
The first victim was struck in the neck and the back by the bullets, and police said the hospital determined he “is paralyzed due to the injuries he received.”
Wright used to live next door to the victim, according to the arrest warrant, and frequently visited the apartment complex. He was identified by a witness that was shown a photo pack by investigators.
Wright is charged with attempted murder and robbery.
The second suspect has yet to be identified.
