LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Police charged 29-year-old Ivy Wade with endangering seven of her children by possessing and trafficking cocaine, marijuana, and heroin.
Officers found drugs throughout Wade’s kitchen, and found a baggie of marijuana inside an infant stroller sitting in the room.
“We heard a big bang, and it woke all of us up in the house,” Starr Mendez, a neighbor, said.
Mendez and other neighbors say police broke down Wade’s door when they arrested her Monday morning. Officers also found a loaded handgun in a kitchen cabinet.
“It hurts my heart cause I know Ivy,” Mendez said. “She was a cool person.”
Wade is charged with three counts of trafficking a controlled substance, seven counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Her bond is set at $5,000.
